Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of the genre country music, hails from the USA. After releasing two singles and an album titled Satisfied in 2007, she formed an ensemble called Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album titled Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe holds a position as the Assistant Village Manager for Riverside Illinois. She has more than 15 years' experience in the public sector, which includes nearly five year time within Iowa City. In her position as the Assistant Village Director she is responsible for managing the Community Development and Building Department. It includes the coordination of grants and completing special projects. Ashley is in charge of running the day-to-day operations of Riverside Village while also implementing the goals and strategies of elected officials. Her previous roles included the municipal planning, budgeting for communications, personnel management and collective bargaining and concentration on climate action initiatives. Ashley's involvement with national organizations and work within communities with different populations has given her insights into how organizations of all sizes function. Ashley's teaching focuses on the current approach to leadership and management in public organizations from an experienced professional. Ashley's focus on adapting to changing circumstances and challenges as well as navigating intergovernmental and community relations and making ethical decisions will provide a framework for aspiring professionals as well as those working in public institutions.
