Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) was back on the air to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd episode. But her real passion was when she added writer to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for it. The Talk, her outstanding talk show brought her an Emmy. She co-hosted the CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Her previous roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. The anchor was escorted to Cairo following the 9/11 attacks and gave an exclusive and riveting discussion with the father who was the primary terrorist who took over the world. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves has also worked with the CBS's New York City station WCBS as a reporter, anchor and producer (1997-1999). Prior to becoming a part of CBS News in 1995, Chen Moonves had been a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. Prior to joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). Also, she was a reporter for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. She started her career as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among Moonves' journalistic heros. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Premiertime Special of Columbia du-Pont that examined how the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
